Abstract

In open prospective 16-week study the assessment of clinical efficiency, vaso- and cardioprotective properties of carvedilol (not selective ab-blocker) was performed. Carvedilol was used in the form of monotherapy and application in a combination to nifedipine or in the form of a combination of the specified preparations with metformin and simvastatin. Carvedilol both monotherapy and at application with nifedipine normalises blood pressure irrespective of number of risk factors. It is revealed expressed cardio- and vasoprotective action without negative influence on carbohydrate and lipid metabolism.
